Namashkaar! I am Supriya, and I live in New Delhi, India.
My love for books borders on ‘obsessive’ and I have been known to read even while stuck in traffic jams, only to be jolted out of my fictional world by irate honking! My friends call me ‘book-zilla’ because of the way I devour books one after another. My favourite still remains Alice in Wonderland, though.
I have a 20 year old son, who I time and again force to be ‘read aloud to at bedtime’ … of course, I never succeed there. My husband, thankfully is also an avid reader, but not of fiction and certainly not of romance!! Our bookshelf at home is an eclectic mix which I like to categorize according to book size and colour of spine, while he likes them put alphabetically!!
I carry my Kindle with me at ALL times… yes, ALL times. It’s like my Amex card … and I ‘never leave home without it’!!
I’m here to share that love (read obsession) with like-minded readers and hope also to gain more works for my ever growing TBR from you all. ‘Just one more chapter’ … is the one quote that binds us all I’m sure, so let the reading begin.
“Once upon a time…”
Hi! My name is Showie, and I read books.
I started reading books before I can remember, and I haven’t ever stopped. ♡ When I was a kid, my mom had a rule that I had to read one literary classic for every “fluff” book I read. I think she thought it was going to be a hardship, but it was absolutely not. I fell in love with the classic romances and tragedies. Jane Austen, Edgar Allan Poe, Tolkien, Alcott and the Bronte sisters are some of my favorites.
I live in small town USA with my geeky husband, twin book nerds in training, and bad boy brother. We live in the idyllic countryside where we aren’t bothered by fancy things like paved roads, or cell phone signal. I am a work-at-home mommy, which gives me plenty of time for my favorite activity. Reading! I cannot wait to share some of my favorite stories with you. I hope you love them every bit as much as I do.
“She reads books as one would breathe air. To fill up, and live.” -Annie Dillard
