“What do Dragons Like to Eat?” is an adorable story that Riddick and Kiya both love. The book features bright illustrations that capture and hold their toddler length attention spans. The language is simple enough to be understood by young children.

Their Thoughts

This dragon book is my favorite because he likes to eat lots of silly things, just like me!” -Riddick

I wish I could spit fire out my nose.” -Kiya

Fairuse_GruffaloThe Gruffallo By Julia Donaldson and Alex Scheffler

The Gruffalo is our absolute favorite story book. (The move, narrated by Helena Bonham Carter is also awesome!) The pictures are bright and engaging. The use of rhyme, and repetitive syntax makes it perfect for young children. By the end of the story, when Mom reads the line “Didn’t you know” Riddick and Kiya both shout “There’s no such thing as a Gruffalo!” and burst into giggles. Who could help loving this unlikely story book, in which a mouse’s imaginary monster ends up being real? This book is an adorable way to encourage creativity. Riddick and Kiya give it 2 thumbs up.

All of the llama llama books have received rave reviews from Riddick and Kiya both. This one is a particular favorite. Llama llama  is feeling frustrated and impatient at the store. He learns to make shopping fun by shopping with his mama as a team.  The fun rhyme of the story keeps the attention of all ages. Llama Llama books will always have a special place on the shelves in our home.
